Marissa C. Krumm has significant broad-based commercial litigation experience. She has represented clients in, among other things, breach of contract and business disputes, employment disputes involving trade secret misappropriation and non-competition agreements, and cases brought under federal and state whistleblower protection statutes. Marissa has also successfully defended manufacturers in products liability and toxic tort lawsuits. In 2017 and 2018, she was selected to the Florida Rising Stars list, a distinction given to only 2.5 percent of attorneys in Florida.
While in law school, Marissa was a member of the Florida Law Review, a semi-finalist of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, and vice president of the UF chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers. She tutored torts and was a teaching assistant for contracts, appellate advocacy, and legal research and writing. Marissa earned a book award in advanced bankruptcy, and honors in appellate advocacy and legal research and writing.
While earning her bachelor’s degree, Marissa served as student body president. In that role, she successfully advocated to change the college’s non-discrimination policy to protect against discrimination based on sexual orientation, identity and expression.
Marissa maintains an active pro bono practice. In 2016, she received the Firm’s Pro Bono and Volunteer Service Award for her role in obtaining a benchmark settlement for victims of one of the largest human trafficking schemes in recent US history.
