Lucia A. Dougherty has wide-ranging experience as a land use and zoning attorney in Miami-Dade County. Lucia represents major developers in securing governmental approvals for large-scale residential, commercial, mixed use, and/or retail projects before various municipal and county governments. Lucia was named the "Empress of the Skyline" by South Florida CEO because of her representation of numerous high-rise projects in Miami and Miami Beach. Lucia also represents clients seeking Certificates of Appropriateness for the development of historic properties or development within historic districts. She has experience in securing liquor licenses, real property tax appeals, procurement matters and bid protests, special area plans, and various other government related approvals. She is the Co-Chair of the Land Development & Zoning Practice of the Miami office. Lucia has served as the legal counsel to the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau since 1988, and was the Chairman of the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce and the Archbishop's and Charities Drive for Dade County.
