Lisa Wolgast is a partner in the firm’s Creditors’ Rights & Bankruptcy and Corporate & Commercial Litigation Practices. She focuses her practice on creditors’ rights and bankruptcy issues, representing creditors in and out of bankruptcy in state and federal court. Her practice also includes complex commercial litigation and arbitration.
Ms. Wolgast regularly represents creditors in complex workouts, protects creditors’ rights under Chapters 7 and 11 of the Bankruptcy Code, defends lender liability claims, represents creditors in preference and fraudulent transfer claims brought by bankrupt debtors and trustees, and handles complex valuation proceedings. Ms. Wolgast also represents creditors and liquidating agents in fraudulent transfer and preference claims and represents various fiduciaries, including receivers, in the sale of assets.
Ms. Wolgast has practiced in the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice since joining the firm, and has extensive experience litigating disputes in many areas of the law including creditors’ rights, bankruptcy, healthcare, partnership disputes, and general commercial disputes for local and national clients in federal and state courts. Ms. Wolgast also has experience in complex arbitrations before the London Court of International Arbitration, AAA and JAMS.
