Kyra Rimsans represents business, financial services and municipal clients in virtually all aspects of transactional real estate. Kyra’s attention to detail and multidimensional understanding of the law allow her to help her clients to avoid surprises and minimize delays in deal closings, as well as mitigate potential post-closing problems.
Kyra’s experience includes the acquisition, disposition, financing, leasing and development of commercial real estate. In addition, she provides legal counsel on land use-related issues that arise in the course of complex transactions involving real property. Having earned the LEED Green Associate® credential, Kyra’s also advises on green building design, construction and operation of buildings and neighborhoods.
At her best when faced with sophisticated and challenging real estate transactions, Kyra has negotiated and closed deals valued into the hundreds of millions of dollars. Regardless of the matter at hand, Kyra’s leadership, focus and commitment to protecting her client’s position throughout the negotiation process allow her to add value to matters in which she is involved.
Prior to law school, Kyra worked for the Indiana Department of Financial Institutions. As a bank examiner, she evaluated the safety and soundness of state-chartered banks in Northern Indiana. In addition to strengthening her analytical and writing skills and the ability to quickly review and understand financial statements, this experience has helped Kyra view transactions and other real estate initiatives from a big-picture perspective.
