Kristi Anderson Wells' practice focuses exclusively on complex domestic relations cases involving divorce, prenuptial agreements, trusts, division of executive compensation and stock rights, business interests, maintenance, parenting time and child support. Ms. Wells is a trained mediator, an accomplished litigator, and a committed collaborative practitioner. In addition to representing clients, Ms. Wells frequently presents and writes on relevant family law issues, as well as having been a tax commentator for NPR’s Morning Edition. Her presentations range from Advanced Tax Issues in Divorce, Attorney Fees in Family Law, the Duty to Confer, to Classifying, Valuing and Dividing Executive Employment Benefits. Ms. Wells is also the author of The Executive Compensation Handbook: Stock Option Awards, Restricted Stock Grants, Cash Bonuses, Incentives and Other Non-qualified Deferred Compensation in Divorce, published by the American Bar Association. Ms. Wells has been awarded the prestigious AV Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell. She has also been honored as a Colorado Super Lawyer each year since 2015, and has been named one of the Top 50 Women Colorado Super Lawyers for 2016 and 2020.
