Jody Hunt uses his decades of service in the Department of Justice to assist clients in addressing government regulatory and litigation matters, particularly in the health care, pharmaceutical, life sciences, and telecommunications industries, as they navigate complex investigations and enforcement actions. Jody served as the Senate-confirmed assistant attorney general for the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Division, 2018–2020, and as the chief of staff to the attorney general, 2017–2018. During his time as the assistant attorney general, Jody defended and advanced the Executive Branch’s most complicated cases in constitutional and administrative law, including challenges to the President’s Executive Orders and congressionally enacted laws. Jody also spearheaded enforcement of the federal False Claims Act, the government’s battle against the opioid epidemic, and the largest-ever sweep of elder fraud cases in Justice Department history.
