Joseph E. Quandt graduated with honors from Oakland University and the Thomas M. Cooley Law School and was an officer of the Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society. Prior to private practice Mr. Quandt served as an enforcement specialist for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) Environmental Response Division and was also an enforcement liaison to the Michigan Department of Attorney General. Mr. Quandt publishes and lectures frequently in the area of environmental law and has served as faculty and commentator for both the State Bar of Michigan and the Michigan Institute for Continuing Legal Education. Mr Quandt has authored numerous articles and treatise sections including an enforcement manual for the MDNR and most recently the "Takings" section of the Michigan Environmental Law Deskbook (the authoritative treatise on Michigan environmental law). Mr. Quandt has served as co-Chair of both the Program and Natural Resource Committees of the State Bar of Michigan Environmental Law Section. Mr. Quandt has served as adjunct faculty to the Thomas M. Cooley Law School and has achieved the Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating of "A/V Preeminent". Mr. Quandt is licensed to practice in all Michigan State and Federal Courts including the Sixth US Circuit Court of Appeals.
