John F. Beach joined Adams and Reese in 2013 as a Partner following the firm’s expansion into Columbia.
Practicing law since 1982, John advises businesses in disputes and represents businesses in litigation arising out of contractual, regulatory, and property conflicts. He appears as lead counsel in state and federal courts, and before various administrative tribunals. John also represents his clients in alternative forums, having represented parties in commercial arbitrations since around 1989 and commercial mediations since around 1990. John, himself, is a Certified South Carolina Circuit Court Mediator, since 2002.
John’s additional representative experience includes:
John honed his administrative practice skills before numerous state and federal agencies and/or commissions. He represents broker-dealers and registered representatives before the South Carolina Securities Commissioner; health care clients before the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control and S.C. Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation; and utilities before the S.C. Public Service Commission. John also addresses zoning and land-use matters for landowners and developers and procurement matters for businesses before state, city, and county governments.
John is a long-time supporter of Columbia’s Nickelodeon Theater, South Carolina’s only independent theatre. John helped with the Nick’s recent move to a prominent Main Street location, an important component of Columbia’s current downtown renaissance. John has also provided advice and guidance, through various committees and task forces, to help advance
John particularly admires Vince Lombardi, who said wise things such as: “The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary.”
In his spare time, John enjoys spending time with his wife and twin daughters. His hobbies include travel, tennis, classic sports cars, and outdoor adventure.
