Jessica Rodriguez is a Senior Associate in the firm's Litigation practice. She focuses her practice on helping clients understand and successfully navigate issues surrounding complex commercial litigation, as well as risk management and regulatory compliance. Jessica has first and second chaired numerous litigation matters throughout the country. She keeps her clients' business goals at the forefront when taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and managing complex negotiations. Jessica skillfully leads mediations and arbitrations and has appeared in state and federal courts as well as bankruptcy courts in numerous states.
Representing clients in a broad range of issues, Jessica specializes in litigation matters involving complex contract disputes, construction disputes, lender liability, and creditor's rights. She routinely advises on employment disputes including discrimination claims, covenants-not-to-compete, and other contractual matters and is also called upon to trouble shoot complex loan servicing issues. Jessica has extensive experience representing creditors in complex bankruptcies as well as negotiating workouts, and handling foreclosures. She frequently counsels clients regarding troubled and defaulted loans, including the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) assignment process. In addition, she regularly advises clients on risk management strategies and litigation avoidance.
With specific expertise relating to multifamily and healthcare projects involving the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Fannie Mae, Ginnie Mae, and Freddie Mac financing, Jessica is adept at working on both the lender and borrower/developer side of a deal. She routinely represents clients in such loan closings as well as the areas of corporate governance, audit, and compliance matters. She has handled government enforcement proceedings as well as counseled clients in connection with investigative and regulatory compliance issues before HUD and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
