Jennifer Filippazzo represents Fortune 500 manufacturers, retailers, and other corporate entities in a variety of litigation matters. She focuses her practice on civil litigation, general commercial disputes, product liability, negligence and mass tort litigation. She is a member of McDermott’s Gender Diversity Committee.
Jennifer serves as national counsel representing a major firm client in their mass tort litigation throughout the southeast and northeast regions of the United States. In that capacity, Jennifer is responsible for the development and implementation of case strategy and oversees all aspects of the litigation, including fact investigation, motion practice, expert witness development, defense of corporate representative witnesses, mediations, trials and settlement negotiations, and appeals.
Jennifer also regularly handles matters and trials in New York and Pennsylvania. Many of these claims involve wrongful death cases with significant medical and scientific issues.
With degrees in biology and in public health, Jennifer brings a unique base of knowledge, experience and perspective to McDermott and the practice of mass tort litigation and product liability. This core education, along with previous experience at publicly traded company, provides a solid foundation for Jennifer to serve as a resource to clients and local counsel in discussing pre-trial strategy and trial themes.
