Overview
Jean Hillman's practice is focused in the areas of estate and trust administration, complex estate and gift tax issues, probate court litigation and fiduciary income tax matters. Jean works with a wide range of clients in preparing estate and gift tax returns, analyzing estate and gift tax issues and defending the tax returns on audit.
Jean's experience also includes preparation of fiduciary income tax returns, post mortem planning and guardianship matters.

Jean is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland. She is a member of the Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. She previously served on the council of delegates of the CMBA’s Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Law Section.She also is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association.
Jean’s civic activities include serving as a former treasurer and executive board member of the Cleveland Orchestra, co-chair of the Cleveland Orchestra’s audience development committee (CODA), and former board member of the Junior Committee of the Cleveland Orchestra.
Jean also served on the board of the St. Herman’s Homeless Shelter and as Treasurer of the St. Demetrios Philoptochos Society.
Jean currently serves on the board of the Endowment Fund of the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church and is a member of the Fundraising Board of the Steven G. AYA (Adolescent and Young Adult) Cancer Research Fund. She provides fundraising assistance to many local charitable organizations.
While in law school at Cleveland-Marshall, Jean served as Co-Executive Editor of the Journal of Law and Health and published a Note on Senate Bill 1, "Ohio’s Advance Directive Law: Where Have We Been? Where Are We Going?"Jean joined Calfee in 1994.
