Iris Rita Richard focuses her practice on the discovery phase of complex civil, criminal litigation and investigations. She also has significant experience on issues relating to data preservation and collection, and early case assessment. She has vast experience using and creating sophisticated data management tools to achieve a more effective and efficient discovery process.
Iris has firsthand knowledge of the strategic management of discovery related to numerous corporate and government investigations, antitrust second requests and antitrust-related investigations, Federal Trade Commission merger evaluations, Securities and Exchange Commission, Department of Justice and white-collar crime investigations. In addition, she has experience with pharmaceutical, medical patent infringement, financial services regulatory compliance, and data privacy and other litigation, including mortgage-backed securities proceedings.
Iris clerked in the Legal Department of a Fortune 500 technology company, where she assisted in-house counsel with state and local government information technology transactions that included outsourcing mega-deals, workforce development and law enforcement deals. She also worked as an internal auditor for a major telecommunication company, where she focused on information technology and corporate governance controls.
