Holly Hill represents clients in a wide variety of environmental compliance matters with both federal and state agencies. Her practice focuses on waste issues including ash pond compliance, closures, permitting and litigation; cleanup actions and consent decree negotiations under CERCLA, RCRA and state “superfund” laws (including GA HSRA); and compliance under brownfield programs. In this regard, Holly represents numerous clients with sites on the NPL, on state superfund lists and those identified as PRPs, including negotiations on behalf of these clients with regulators and PRP groups. She also represents clients involved in RCRA corrective action issues and advises clients on RCRA compliance issues. In addition to regulatory representation, she represents clients in environmental litigation, cost recovery actions, insurance coverage, site contamination and permitting issues. Holly also counsels buyers, sellers and lenders on environmental due diligence issues and contractual language in business transactions.
Holly serves as Troutman Sanders’ Chief Diversity Officer, leading our firm-wide diversity and inclusion initiatives. She helped guide the adoption and implementation of the firm’s strategic diversity and inclusion plan that sets goals around the recruitment, retention and advancement of diverse lawyers and promotes inclusion and engagement across the firm. Holly is involved with several diversity and inclusion organizations and speaks on various issues, collaborating on best practices and innovative approaches to diversity and inclusion in law firms and in companies.
