Benson, Kerrane, Storz & Nelson, P.C.
Managing Partner Heidi Storz originally joined the firm’s predecessor in 1999 and has more than 15 years of experience in construction defect litigation.
Prior to attending law school, Heidi served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Belize, Central America where she worked with young adults and children who had experienced physical or sexual abuse. While in Belize, Heidi traveled to every high school in the country to conduct the first-ever study quantifying the incidence of child abuse. Before touring with the Peace Corps, Heidi spent five years in Boulder, Colorado providing vocational services to developmentally disabled adults, assisting them in transitioning from institutional facilities to more independent living.
Heidi has extensive experience in construction defect and insurance litigation. She prides herself on mastering the underlying engineering, architectural and scientific issues which gives her a competitive edge as an advocate. Heidi has assisted thousands of homeowners and building owners in resolving their construction defect and insurance disputes, either through settlement negotiations or trial/arbitration. Heidi’s in-depth understanding of the methods of construction allows her to assemble the most effective team of forensic experts to ultimately put her clients in the best possible position to be successful. After the resolution of a case, Heidi maintains an on-going relationship with her clients and often serves as a resource during the repair process.
Outside of work, Heidi enjoys tending livestock, gardening, cooking, watching her sons play sports, and traveling far and wide.
