George Reilly has almost 35 years of experience as a family law attorney. Throughout those year of practice, he has focused on helping families resolve divorce and child custody issues. He favors a collaborative approach to matrimonial and custodial issues in which parties and their attorneys agree to avoid court to resolve their issues. George is also well-versed in a wide variety of other legal practice areas including civil litigation, real estate, estate planning and administration, and business development which enhance his ability to provide advice and guidance to clients in matrimonial matters. George's clients have been balanced between income-earners and home makers, high and ultra-high net-worth individuals, corporate executives and entrepreneurs, along with pro bono matters. He has dealt with parties and children with mental health issues including substance abuse and addiction, depression and bipolar disorders. He has frequently handled matters including emotional and physical abuse.
George has tried numerous cases to successful results and litigated many motions in the courts. He is well acquainted with the vagaries and nuances of the courts in the Stamford, CT area.
George has also litigated numerous post-judgment modification matters as well as enforcement of judgments.
George considers pro bono and non-profit endeavors an important way to contribute to his community. He believes his strengths as an attorney and deep knowledge of his community allow him to better serve his clients. George has extensive nonprofit experience and currently sits on the board of the Norwalk Community College Foundation. Previously he has served on the boards of the King School (including as president of its Board of Trustees) Darien United Way, The Center for Hope in Darien, Family Centers in Greenwich and the Kiwanis Club. A longtime resident of Darien along with his wife, George has been an active volunteer in town government, having served as a town Selectman and a member of the Board of Education for more than a dozen years.
