Liz is an experienced trial lawyer who has represented hospitals, physicians and other health care providers in medical malpractice cases for over 33 years. She has special expertise on cases involving obstetrics, neurosurgery, anesthesia, and emergency medicine. In addition to her work with health care providers, she has represented medical device and product manufacturers. Liz has tried over 65 malpractice cases to verdict.
Liz graduated with honors from the University of Washington’s School of Law. She continues to serve as a lecturer there, most recently on Medical Malpractice Law. Liz is a Fellow with the following organizations: The American College of Trial Lawyers, The International Society of Barristers and The Litigation Counsel of America. In addition, she is a member of the Washington Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Washington Defense Trial Lawyers and the Washington Patient Safety Foundation. She is regularly selected on the Super Lawyers list, most recently in 2019 when she was again selected to the Top 50 Women Lawyers. She was also selected to Best Lawyers 2020 list in the Medical Malpractice Law – Defendants section. Most recently, Liz accepted an invitation to serve on the University of Washington, Department of Medicine’s Oversight Committee for the Collaborative Accountability and Improvement.
