Berry Holt focuses his practice primarily on the health care industry. He has handled a wide range of health care provider and other business matters over the past 35+ years. He acts as a general advisor to his clients on a broad scale and is currently frequently on site at St. Thomas Health Services as general counsel. Berry's practice ranges from general corporate advice to specific health care advice regarding transactional, regulatory or operational matters.
Berry is the past president of the Tennessee Academy of Hospital Attorneys, Chairman of the Board of Discovery Place, and serves on the advisory Board of Directors of First Tennessee Bank, N.A., the Board of the Mental Health Cooperative, Tennesseans for the Arts, Belmont United Methodist Church Trust Fund and The Nashville Food Project.Berry is a regular speaker to various health care trade associations with regard to hospital and physician issues, joint ventures, compliance programs and other regulatory matters, and he writes articles on a variety of health care and business issues. He has frequently spoken at the Annual Health Law Forum, sponsored by the Tennessee Hospital Association and the Tennessee Bar Association.
