Dan Christensen has been practicing law since 1994. He started his career working in military courts, notorious for their strict adherence to rules and procedures. For the last 15 years, Dan has focused his practice exclusively on representing injury victims. He has been involved in almost 200 trials during his career in numerous federal and state courts against the even the largest defendants, including the U.S. Government.

Experience and Education
Dan received his Bachelor’s degree with Honors and his Juris Doctor with Distinction from the University of Iowa in 1991 and 1994, respectively. He was the Editor-in-Chief of the college’s Journal of Corporate Law during his final year.
After graduating from law school, he served in U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAG) in Fort Hood, Texas. He served as a prosecutor and defense counsel in numerous administrative hearings and courts-martial ranging from minor offenses to kidnapping, rape, and capital murder.
After being honorably discharged from the U.S. Army JAG Corps, Dan joined a Texas personal injury law firm. Largely through his efforts, the firm more than quadrupled in size, case volume and revenue. Dan worked as the Chief of its Litigation Department and was the firm’s principle trial lawyer for years, trying numerous cases each year. Also, as the head of the firm’s personal injury division, Dan supervised and mentored between 15 and 20 trial lawyers at a time as they prosecuted thousands of cases.
Dan is licensed by the state bars of both California and Texas. He is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and he is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Additionally, he is an Associate with the American Board of Trial Advocacy.
Dan is a graduate of Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyers College, as well as both the Graduate I and Graduate II courses. Dan has been selected by his peers as a SuperLawyer from 2009-2014 by Thomson Reuters, published in the Best Lawyers in America by Woodward/White Inc. for 2015, and named as one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers by The National Trial Lawyers in 2011-2013. He holds the highest rating (AV) from Martindale-Hubbell and has served as an Adjunct Professor in Trial Advocacy at The University of Texas School of Law. Dan has served as a Board Member of The Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and President of the Capital Area Trial Lawyers Association.
He has lectured at nearly 20 different venues on a variety of legal topics from voir dire (interviewing and selecting a jury) to DWI car wreck prosecution. Additionally, he has been published in various legal texts and publications by West Publishing, American Association of Justice, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, University of Texas and the State Bar of Texas.
