Dan concentrates his practice on the representation of business entities and financial institutions in a variety of transactional matters. He serves as general outside corporate counsel to clients of all sizes in a variety of business sectors, from high tech manufacturing and software to seafood and forest products to healthcare and banking. Dan regularly represents both borrowers and lenders in sophisticated commercial finance transactions, and he advises clients seeking to raise private equity. He also regularly counsels clients in connection with antitrust and Canadian-American cross-border trade issues.
Dan is listed in Best Lawyers in America, Chambers and Partners and New England SuperLawyers. He appears regularly as a speaker before continuing legal education groups on various business law topics and speaks frequently to business groups on both sides of the border on issues relating to U.S. - Canadian cross border trade. He also serves as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Maine Business School where he teaches business law to MBA candidates.
