Chris has extensive experience in high profile personal injury cases in the areas of medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, construction accidents and products liability. Chris is responsible for all aspects of litigation, from the initial meeting of clients through the ultimate resolution of the case and has tried cases in both New York and New Jersey. He is admitted to the Bar of New York and the Bar of New Jersey in addition to the Federal Courts of both states, and has practiced extensively in those Courts. Mr. Sallay has exceptional skills in the taking of depositions and has traveled throughout the country deposing necessary parties and witnesses. His skills in questioning medical professionals and confronting them with verifiable medical facts and principles have led to the swift and favorable resolution of multiple malpractice claims. His background and training in computerized legal research has proven to be an invaluable aid in the preparation of motions and appellate briefs for submission to the Appellate Divisions and the Court of Appeals. Chris believes that hard work is the hallmark of a great attorney and is the only way to truly represent the interests of a client. It is this conviction and attention to detail that has led to the significant resolutions of cases which involved difficult or unique legal questions.

Over the course of his career, Chris has consistently secured outcomes that meet or exceed clients' expectations. For example, when an 18-year-old man was prescribed improper medication and suffered liver failure, Chris obtained an $8 million settlement. In another case, he negotiated a $6 million settlement in a wrongful death lawsuit concerning a drunk driver. For his successes and ethical standards, Chris has earned the highest rating possible of AV Preeminent* from Martindale-Hubbell and holds an AVVO "Superb" rating.

Chris graduated near the top of his class from Brooklyn Law School where he was a member of the prestigious Moot Court Honor Society - National Trial Advocacy Team. While in law school, his writing and advocacy skills were recognized with the Samuel Witte Prize for Literature and the Law and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Trial Advocacy. He continues to be a member of several professional organizations including the New York State Bar Association and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.

Chris strongly believes in giving back to the legal community. He is a frequent lecturer for the New York State Bar Association and has co-chaired multiple CLE programs in the area of Motor Vehicle Accident Litigation. He has regularly served as Assistant Planning Chair, contributing author and lecturer for the NYSBA's annual statewide program on Construction Accidents and the Labor Law. He has given lectures in the areas of Automobile Litigation: Update and Strategies, Practical Skills - Basic Tort and Insurance Law Practice and Labor Law- Construction Accident Claims. He has also lectured on Constitutional Law challenges as they relate to Automobile Insurance Legislation as well as Ethical Considerations Concerning Automobile Litigation. In addition to lecturing, he has authored course material for the New York State Bar Association including course material on Evaluating Damages related to Automobile Accident Claims and Selecting the Right Experts.
