Charles (Chuck) E. Levin provides legal counsel to financial institutions in transactions and restructuring situations, and with respects to financial products. He also advises larger and middle market companies in mergers and acquisitions, financing and general corporate matters.
Chuck represents – as lead or senior counsel – companies valued from less than $1 million to more than several billion dollars on secured-lending transactions, acquisitions and joint ventures. He advises clients from a range of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, health care, government contraction, technology, energy, agriculture, aviation and more, on a host of legal and business issues and structures.
Drawing on deep financing industry experience, Chuck extensively negotiates and documents financial derivative and other synthetic investment arrangements, including credit derivatives, collateralized debt warehouse arrangements, total return swaps, equity swaps and related documents on behalf of hedge funds, insurance and other financial service clients.
Chuck also advises financial industry and large corporate clients on distressed debtor situations for purposes of their trading, credit extension and other activities.
Chuck handles international commercial, financing and joint venture transactions, including trade export and import deals, multinational financings, joint ventures with European manufacturers and distributors and financial institutions, and project financings.
