Atticus Wegman was born and raised in New Hampton, Iowa. Atticus
attended Fresno State University where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree,
graduating magna cum laude. After college, Atticus obtained his Master of Arts
degree from the University of Iowa and attended Chapman University’s Fowler
School of Law for his Juris Doctor degree.
Since joining Aitken Aitken Cohn, Atticus has been involved
in a variety of high-profile cases with six and seven figure results. In 2014, Atticus
resolved a case involving a minor child who fell off of a table at a pizza
parlor suffering a partial amputation of his left thumb resulting in a
$1,300,000.00 settlement. Another of Atticus’ recent jury verdicts awarded his
client over 10 times the amount defendant sought in closing argument and
resulted in a rare excess judgment.
Atticus practices law with an eye towards maximizing results
for his clients. Atticus has moved swiftly to gain the necessary experience to
achieve great results for his clients. Though his face may look young, don’t be
fooled, as he has already gained the respect of judges, juries, opposing
attorneys, and most importantly, his clients.
Atticus is a member of several legal organizations including
the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association (OCTLA) where he serves as a member
of the Board of Directors. He was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine
for the past five consecutive years (2012-2017). In addition, Atticus has
written articles published by the Los Angeles Daily Journal, CAOC Forum, OCTLA
Gavel, Association of Business Trial Lawyers (ABTL), Riverside Lawyer, the
University of San Francisco Law Review, and the OC Lawyer Magazine
