Ashley (Lee) McMahon focuses her practice on antitrust and competition matters. Lee advises clients on complex issues relating to and arising under the antitrust laws in connection with civil litigation, international cartels, and mergers and acquisitions. She assists clients with premerger notification, review and analysis under the Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) Antitrust Improvements Act. Lee is experienced in areas of e-discovery, document review and production for investigations before the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Department of Justice (DOJ) and state attorneys general office.
Lee also maintains an active pro bono practice and has won political- and social group-based immigration asylum for clients. As a law clerk for the Parole Division of the DC Public Defender Service, she represented clients before the US Parole Commission at probable cause and parole revocation hearings, and won release for clients.
Lee spent nearly four years as a paralegal before law school, where she provided assistance at trials, hearings and depositions involving a range of issues including employment, environmental, malpractice, white-collar and False Claims Act litigation.
While in law school, Lee served as editor-in-chief of the Virginia Journal of Criminal Law. She represented clients as part of the University of Virginia School of Law’s Innocence Project Clinic.
