Macaulay & Jamerson, P.C.
Alexander has represented many of his clients for almost 20 years because he believes that when he represents a client, he becomes a member of its team. As a team member, Alexander learns the client's industry and constantly identifies new ways for the team to win. Working together, Alexander and his clients have shared in many successes.
Much of his work requires developing an overarching strategy to win a lawsuit, pass a law, or amend a regulation...and then getting the job done. For example, a manufacturing client wanted a state agency to adopt its transportation technology. Alexander drafted the necessary legislation, lobbied the General Assembly for its passage, and then worked with the agency on the applicable regulations.
A client may also have a short-term need. For example, a health care provider had to negotiate a complex purchasing agreement with a large hospital on 48 hours' notice. Over the weekend, Alexander revised the contract and helped the client persuade the hospital to accept the revisions.
A large part of Alexander’s practice is the representation of health care providers in disciplinary actions at the Department of Health Professions. Alexander also advocates for banks, manufacturers, retailers, insurance companies, and local governments. As a "utility player," Alexander can help a client resolve a broad range of legal or public policy problems, regardless of the issue.
